77

The Dragons kick off in a shortish fashion, but the Warriors are awake.

Warriors 26-10

And now the pass goes a mile out over the sideline, bouncing off the touchy's head.

Warriors 24-10

71

The Dragons 3 metres out, but the defence is holding strong.

Warriors 24-10

Time running short for the Dragons now. They've spent a lot of this half at the right end of the field, but just haven't been able to convert field position into points.

68

The Dragons kick into the in goal. It's nicely weighted but Widdop makes a mess of the chase, knocking the ball on.

Warriors 24-10

TRY to Jeff Robson. Sipley makes a hitup and got within 5 metres. Luke darted from dummy half, and looked for all money to have been stopped, but he got a brilliant offload away to Jeff Robson, who looks up and sees open space.

Warriors 18-10

56

Penalties and mistakes galore at the moment, this time a poor play the ball from Matt Allwood.

On his own line, Jonathan Wright drops a sitter of a pass, and puts massive pressure on his team.

49

Issac Luke sends a long pass out to the right wing, and it leads to a few metres.

Robson looking to prove his worth to the team - a great legs tackle on a much bigger man, really showing the kids how it's done.

Warriors 18-10

46

Warriors 18-6

The Dragons kick on the last, and we're going to the bunker for a possible try to the Dragons. A bit of a tricky one - Nightingale sprints through to chase a long kick, takes it cleanly, and flicks the ball back inside. Will Matthews and David Fusitua both ground the ball, and the bunker is looking to work out who was first.

27

It's NO TRY. The bunker rules an obstruction, but that's a harsh call against the Dragons.

Warriors 12-6

And we are underway. The Warriors kick off, and Michael Cooper brings it back for the Dragons.

The Dragons take the field, along with Benji Marshall in Jersey 23. They're followed a minutes later by the home side, the Warriors, to a big cheer.

Welcome to Mt Smart Stadium this afternoon for this clash between the Warriors and the Dragons.

The Warriors will be without a number of their big name stars, after six players, Manu Vatuvei, Ben Matulino, Bodene Thompson, Albert Vete, Sam Lisone and Konrad Hurrell, were removed from the squad for ill-discipline. Toafofoa Sipley, Sione Lousi, John Palavi, Matt Allwood and mid-season transfer Shaun Lane will come into the side. Thomas Leuluai is also a late withdrawal, with Jeff Robson named as his replacement.

For the Dragons, Benji Marshall has been named in the side, his inclusion pushing Josh McCrone out of the side. Tim Lafai will also miss this game, which sees Josh Dugan move into the vacant centre role, and Adam Quinlan come in at fullback. Siliva Havili will start in place of Mitch Rein, Will Matthews takes Joel Thompson's place in the second row after the latter was suspended during the week, while Jacob Host is the new face on the bench.
