The first half was nothing more than a mess, despite the game being played in perfect conditions. Both sides producing a plethora of missed tackles, dropped ball and woeful last play execution.

The only points in the first half was a solitary penalty goal from the boot of Isaako in the 33rd minute.

The Bulldogs had an opportunity to level the scores with a penalty goal just before halftime, but instead chose to take the tap, with the set ending meekly. Brisbane went into the break with a 2-0 lead.

The second half continued where the first half left off, but in the 59th minute Isaako made a break out on the left side and then put on a left and a right step to beat Corey Allan and score a brilliant solo try to the left of the posts. He then converted his own try.

The Broncos instantly lifted and improved their performance and 8 minutes later, they scored again after Isaako broke out of a tackle on the right side, drew Nick Meaney before passing to Xavier Coates, who raced away to score in the right corner. Isaako was unable to convert from touch.

Two minutes later, Isaako landed a penalty goal to extend the Broncos lead to 14 points.

From the Bulldogs short kick off, Coates flew high and took the ball before explodes into open space, running 65 metres to score untouched. Isaako failed to convert from the difficult angle.

The Broncos crossed again with just two minutes remaining on the clock when David Mead found himself in space, passed inside to Herbie Farnworth who then grubbered ahead towards the posts where Tom Dearden regathered the bouncing ball, to score next to the posts. Isaako added the extras to give the Broncos a comfortable 24-0 victory, ending their losing streak at 13 games, while the Bulldogs are now scoreless in their last 164 minutes.
