The Gold Coast Titans stunned the F7s world when, in their debut season, they took out the big one. Outsiders at 12-1 this time last year, the Titans cleaned up on grand final day. The 2008 premiers went all the way with a small but committed pack, narrowly knocking over favourites the Bluebags in one of the all time classic grand finals.
With connections in China, Titans skipper Titanic has stuck with the same group of match winners while adding three new recruits.
It is a slightly larger squad in 2009, but to be back-to-back premiers the core players must again go without sleep while maintaining the same high levels that were achieved in 2008.
Can the 2008 champions stay fresh in 2009? This punter reckons the answer is a big yes.
