Cougars Courage, Bold Battlers
The F7s Cougars missed out on the semis in 2008, but there was no denying their committment. By fielding a full team for every match, the Cougars were the only club outside of the top five to deliver a full compliment of articles during the season.
The Cougars' courage in '08 prompted the new bonus point rule where teams receive a lift on the ladder whenever they get all articles in before fulltime. This is sure to be a boost in the Cougars camp as they look to earn a semi-finals berth in '09.
Skipper griffo346 has brought together one of the largest squads in the competition and this in itself should put the Cougars in the hunt in '09.
No doubt the competition will be fierce come semi-final time, but his punter is predicting a top four spot for the Cougars when they line up in the first week in September.
