Reigning premiers the Newtown Bluebags posted a record breaking nine match winning streak to go through the season undefeated.
In 2008, the Bluebags have trimmed their squad and added just a few new signings, although the stellar line-up of 2007 has remained largely intact.
But they are one year older. In a recent interview, captain Willow described the Bluebags as "perhaps a little more rotund following 'the fruits of victory'."
Can they extend their winning streak, or will the premiers suffer through the angst of grand final hangover? Hard to say, but if the punters are to be believed, the 'bags will be well and truly in the hunt in 2008.
