2017 is nearly here! With the Christmas and New Year break now upon us, wishes all our readers, contributors and forum members a very Merry Christmas and a Safe & Happy New Year!

The year that was saw many surprises - not least of which was the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks securing their maiden NRL premiership. 2016 also saw deliver expanded coverage across the country, with coverage of 15 major competitions across Australia and the UK. It goes without saying we thank the NSWRL, QRL, CRL and the UK's RFL for their support across the last 12 months as we strive to deliver bigger and better coverage of rugby league everywhere.

In 2017 we enter our 16th consecutive year of online rugby league news and discussion and we couldn't be more excited! It all begins tomorrow with the Super League pre-season kicking off with several Boxing Day showdowns, through to NRL trials in February, Super League kickoff, the Auckland Nines, All Stars, World Club Series... and then the NRL starts all over again on March 2!
